Preparing for the sketch class I’m leading on Friday.
Feliz invierno. Happy winter.
Naptime sketch while Lela and I listen to an episode of This American Life about a home that was abandoned, possessions and all, in the 1960’s.
I see people get confused about legs (especially about birds), thinking ankles are knees or strange things like that. So I did a quick and super simplified comparative anatomy guide for a few kinds of vertebrates! I left out reptiles because… meh, maybe next time. People get less confused about them
Next I’ll do one post all about birds and how they have the same bits as us because vertebrates are basically all just weird looking versions of the same thing
Fun fact about me: my first job in uni was drawing pictures for a textbook! It was super fun but didn’t pay much.
We’re all made of the same junk.
I’ve been distracted with learning french and I haven’t been doing much sketching lately, but the colors outside the plane were too incredible. Justice was not done, but it was fun anyway.
Another meeting, another crappy caricature.
Anxiety makes me feel like I’m full of moths. When you get excited for something, you get happy little butterflies, but the internal fluttering of anxiety is frantic and terrible. It’s in your stomach, making you sick. It’s in your throat, making it hard to breathe. It’s in your head, making it impossible to focus.
